Swagga are BACK and closing Manchester Pride Festival off with an absolute BANG!

In their biggest venue yet, the Old Skool and Bashment Crew go Head to Head. There’ll be TWO ROOMS and a headline performance from Old Skool Favourites ‘Platnum’ performing their bangers ‘Love Shy’ , ‘What’s it Gonna Be’ and more. Expect 5 LGBT DJs including our two Special Guest DJs MONIQUE B and London’s DJ KASPA joining our Host DJ Stacy Bee, DJ KL and DJ Nkay.

Enjoy all your favourite Old Skool R&B, Dancehall, Bashment, Old Skool Garage & U.K. Funky is getting dropped like BOMBS.

Please note: You do not need a Gay Village Party Pledge Band to attend this event.

Who is Swagga?

Nominated for Gaydio’s event of the year, Swagga is an LGBTQ+ event which is a celebration of LGBTQ+ POC culture expressed through music and dance, predominantly R&B and Dancehall. ALL LGBTQ+ people and allies are welcome!

Where is the event?

Our Closing Party will be held at Rebellion on Whitworth Street.

We have two rooms with a diverse line up of 5 LGBTQ+ DJs going Head to Head with Old Skool R&B and Dancehall bangers.

Who’s Headlining?

We have a headline performance from Old Skool chart toppers ‘Platnum’ performing their bangers ‘Love Shy’ ‘What’s it Gonna Be’ (H20) and more.

Who’s DJ’ing?

DJ STACY BEE (She/ Her)

Social Worker, Actress and DJ, Stacy Bee is the founder of Swagga Mcr and both DJs and hosts the event. Stacy Bee is an Old Skool R&B and Dancehall Specialist and has DJ’d in Manchester’s Gay Village for 10 years. She now takes Swagga to Pride festivals and LGBTQ+ events across the U.K and spotlights LGBTQ+POC DJs and Dancers at Swagga Events.

MONIQUE B (She/Her)

DJ, Pro Boxer and singer, MONIQUE B is debuting her first ever performance in Manchester. Monique is lead vocal on R&B hit ‘Revolving Doors’

and has DJ’d at London’s Lick Events, Urban Slag and more.

DJ KASPA (They/Them)

Kaspa is an open format Queer DJ writer and tutor, with a huge love for creativity and music from many Genres.

Kaspa has played for some of London's most loved Urban LGBTQ events which include; Urban world (Scala), Lxz Events (Libertine & Tape), Pxssy Palace, G-A-Y (Heaven) and Juice London, (Proud embankment) which were also part of Pride in London's first BAME stage for QPOC in 2019 and 2022.

DJ KL (He/Him)

Music Producer and DJ, KL is well known for his residencies with Swagga, Vanilla and Ghetto Fabulous. KL is a rising star within the LGBTQ+ community.

DJ NK (She/Her)

Advertising and Marketer, DJ NK is a real crowd pleaser and is well known for her residencies over the past 10 years at Vanilla, Swagga, Urban Lush and Manifesto.
