UCLan Spotlight Taiwan cultural events are coming back to Lancashire in the new academic year!
2024 UCLan Spotlight Taiwan will be hosting its "Home x Queer" strand on 23 Sept 2024 (Monday) in Manchester. The day is packed with a film screening of Taiwanese retro-LGBTQ film "Eternal Summer" @Manchester HOME Cinema. In the afternoon, we also have the honour to invite a young, talented Taiwanese writer, Kevin Chen陳思宏 and his English translator, Dailun Shi to talk about Kevin's queer novel, "Ghost Town" at Manchester Central Library. If you're fan of Taiwanese LGBTQ film and creative writings, you definitely don't want to miss this opportunity!
Free admission for the whole day event. Lunch and refreshment provided for signed-up participants, but spaces are limited! So first come, first serve.
UCLan staff & students may also win free return travel from Preston to Manchester.
The Spotlight Taiwan event series is generously supported by Taiwan Ministry of Culture.
