'Telling Tales' festival is in its second year, presented by Manchester Metropolitan University's Documentary Centre it will showcase the work of new, emerging and established documentarians from the UK and much further afield. While there are many festivals dedicated to film what is missing is the exhibition of non-fiction documentary work, not just in film but particularly audio. 'Telling Tales' aims to fill that gap through this annual celebration of audio documentaries and non-fiction cinema. Last year we represented over 20 countries around the world!

Offering both professional and student category awards for Best UK Audio and Best International Audio Award as well as a Grand Jury Prize, the festival provides a great opportunity to voice authentic, unusual  true stories.

The festival will draw Documentary professionals, students and fans to Manchester on 8-10th June,  strengthening understanding and appreciation of the documentary form while making the work much more accessible to a wider audience in Manchester and internationally.

Daily opening times:
Friday June 8th: 6–10pm
Saturday: 10am–8pm
Sunday: 12–4pm
