Piccadilly and Manchester Central Labour Party invite everyone to join our LGBT History Trail on the eve of Manchester Pride Festival.
The trail will start at the rainbow tile outside the Midland Hotel - look for the mosaic set into the pavement at the corner of Peter Street and Mount Street. It will be led by historian and activist Paul Fairweather, a longstanding campaigner for LGBT rights who has lived in Manchester since the 1970s. Paul is also a former Labour councillor in Manchester City Council.
The tour will last between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 mins, and the route is wheelchair accessible. It is free but please register here so that we know you are coming. We will also be collecting donations for the LGBT Foundation at the end of the trail, which will finish in the Village.
We look forward to seeing you there, whether you are local or just visiting Manchester for the festivities!
