  • manchester central library Saint Peter's Square Manchester, England, M2 3DF United Kingdom (map)

To mark the start of LGBT History month, come along to Manchester's Central Library for the launch of LGBT Foundation’s unique heritage project, Let’s Talk About Sex: 30+ years of community activism in Greater Manchester, in partnership with Manchester Archives+.

Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, this project documents the stories of those involved and affected by over 30 years of activism on sexual health and safer sex in Greater Manchester.

During the evening there will be the opportunity to hear from some of those campaigners, including the premiere screening a short documentary film commissioned for the project.

The night will also feature poetry from Adam Lowe, plus an exclusive preview of the exhibit accompanying the project, showcasing striking archival images from past campaigns on sexual health awareness.

The event is free, but booking is essential.

The exhibition will be on display throughout LGBT History month in February at Manchester Central Library, and the following venues:

Gallery Oldham (5th – 24th Feb);

Marketplace Studios, Stockport;

Twinkle Bar Stalybridge, 88 Market St, Stalybridge SK15 2AB.
