CFCCA (Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art) have worked in partnership with the
Proud Trust and Superbia to run free creative workshops for young people inspired by the
illustrator, skateboard enthusiast and LGBT+ activist Jeffrey Cheung.
Cheung is an American based artist who set up Unity - an umbrella term for a multi-
disciplinary collective involving skateboarding, publishing and workshops. CFCCA and the
Proud Trust hosted three workshops inspired by the different strands of Jeffrey’s work:
Zine Making; Skateboard Design and Creative Writing.
The outcome of these workshops, alongside documentation and prints of Jeffrey
Cheung’s work will be exhibited at CFCCA over the Manchester Pride weekend from
Thursday 23 August to 26 August, open daily 10am to 5pm.
