ABOUT BLACK ANGEL
Black Angel was a pioneering club night in the late 1990s founded by Claud Cunningham and Paula Gannon-Lewis. It started in Manchester before expanding into Leeds and London. Black Angel gave birth to the Black and Asian LGBTQ club scene in Manchester and, more importantly, provided the first women-centred safe place for Black and Asian women (and allies) to come together and be themselves.
