The Superbia Gallery 2019: Video by Tom Quaye

Tom Quaye was one of the featured artists at this year’s Superbia Gallery. Tom is the creative talent behind both 0161 and Queers of Manchester, as well as the Dance Yrself Clean club night. We commissioned Tom to show some of his own digital and video work, and to produce a film which included work from a range of Manchester LGBT artists. The film was looped on a projector in our pop-up gallery space at No. 70 Oxford Street, MMU, across the 2 days of The Superbia Weekend 2019 and was seen by over 300 people, with over 50 people attending our guided tour and artist talks on the Sunday. Film work, pop promo, portraiture, gifs, letters and still photography were brought together in this fantastic digital footage from a diverse and talented selection of LGBT+ Manchester creatives. We are proud to share this film online as a legacy of this fantastic art show. Huge thanks to Tom and to all of our fantastic artists who made this show such a huge success. You can enjoy the film below.
