Walking tour about Manchester's LGBT Centre

27th November 2016 @ 02:00pm

Join a walking tour to celebrate the LGBT Centre's 28th birthday.

This walking tour will tell the story of how Manchester became the first place to build an entirely publicly funded, purpose designed centre for the gay community, just as Thatcher’s government were enacting Section 28.

Please meet at Manchester Town Hall side entrance, on Lloyd Street. The guide will be waving a small rainbow flag! Please note the walk will end at the LGBT Centre itself on Sidney Street, just off Oxford Road.

When: Sunday 27th November, 2pm
Length: 1 hour
