'The Destruction of Everything Familiar' - Exhibition Preview Evening

07 May - 15 Apr

Unit 4, Chips

I first picked up a brush at the age of 38 because I was bored. I work alone, completely isolated, creating sometimes surreal images that on first glance to some are difficult, yet there is an underlying sensitivity. It's important for me that a painting has emotional impact, if not it's erased or rejected. When things get heavy I like to lighten it up with a whimsical mark or gesture.

I want to create images that are curiously ambiguous. I'm not telling a story, or perhaps the whole story. I just want the viewer to find their own conclusion.
