Queer Art Show 5 explores what it means to REVOKE: to invalidate, reclaim and reverse, during the anniversary of 50 years since the partial decriminalisation of the male homosexual act in the Sexual Offences Act 1967.
Curated by Debbie Sharp, artist and director of Manchester’s artist & Dyke-led art organisation The Penthouse, QAS5 brings together ideas of restrictions, criminalisation and the fight for freedoms in LGBTQ+ lives.
QAS5 offers a free creative hub exploring the idea of what it means to 'revoke'. It offers free public workshops and talks offering a critical platform for discussion.
QAS5 features HOMOCULT, Queer Day School, Rebel Dykes, Seleena Laverne Daye, Stiofan O'Ceallaigh & Ron Kibble, Michael Lucas, Debbie Sharp, Rosanne Robertson and many more tba.
