Queer Beyond London

Queer Beyond London

18th March 2017 @ 01:30pm

Discover more about Manchester’s LGBT+ history with the team from Queer Beyond London.

Queer Beyond London is a collaboration between Birkbeck College, University of London and Leeds Beckett University to research histories of LGBT+ identities and communities in Manchester, Leeds, Plymouth and Brighton from the 1960s to the present.

Come and share your experiences of family and kinship, migration and movement, activism and community building, and the uses of history.

Part of our 'Never Going Underground' season, a year-long programme of exhibitions, events and learning programmes exploring the past, present and future of LGBT+ activism.

Suitable for adults and young people, welcoming a mix of people across a range of ages, genders and sexual identities, ethnic and religious backgrounds interested in Manchester's LGBT+ past.

Free event but suggested donation and requires registration for tickets.
