04th August 2015 @ 06:10pm

POUTFest 2015 brings you five brand new LGBT feature films along with a snug anthology of ten gay short films. The theme of the 2015 POUT tour is “family” where all five features celebrate many different forms of family life in the 21st Century.

There are four main features; 52 TUESDAYS, SOFT LAD, DRESSED AS A GIRL and A GIRL AT MY DOOR, accompanying these are two additional programmes for cinemas that would like that little bit “extra” – FUTURO BEACH and the short film anthology TRICK & TREAT.

On Tuesday, August 4th, Manchester gets the honour of viewing "52 Tuesdays" at HOME, Manchester...

52 Tuesdays (Plus Q&A Session)

showing Tuesday 4 Aug 2015 at 18.10

Directed by Sophie Hyde,

Filmed one day, every week, for a year, 52 Tuesdays explores teenager Billie’s journey when her mother reveals plans to gender transition. Exposing both characters’ transformations, 52 Tuesdays is a ground-breaking and remarkable achievement in storytelling. Whatever happens to her mother, Billie will always be his daughter.

Following this screening we will be joined by director Sophie Hyde for a Q&A chaired by Clara Bradbury – Rance, PhD student in queer cinema at the University of Manchester.
