How To Have A One Woman Show
In conversation with women theatre makers
Manchester is blessed with some of the most talented performers and theatre-makers in the country. At this special event curated by Superbia, we meet five creative women who are making diverse work for the stage to find out what inspires them, how they made it, their successes and lessons along the way, what they really get out of performing, and what advice they would give to the up-and-coming makers of tomorrow.
The event will hosted by Kate O’Donnell (Big Girl’s Blouse; You’ve Changed) with special guests Cheryl Martin (Alaska; Who Wants To Live Forever?), Jackie Hagan (Some People Have Too Many Legs; Cosmic Scallies), Debs Gatenby (Hi, Anxiety; A Place Called Happiness) and Louise Wallwein (Glue; Skid 180).
Kate will speak about her own work and will then interview each of our guests in turn, showing performance clips and asking probing questions. The audience will then have chance to ask their own questions to the performers.
Join us at Royal Northern College of Music for this unique celebration of Manchester women in performance.
Please let us know if you or any of your guests require BSL interpretation.
Event begins 7.30pm.
