September 23rd is Bi Visibility Day and Manchester's LGBT Foundation are hosting events either side of the day to celebrate Bi Visibility and to raise money for Manchester's bisexual social and support group, Biphoria

Film Screening - 'The Comedian'

Screening at 6:30pm followed by a social at Bandit, Mugger and Thief on Canal Street from 8:30pm. 'The Comedian' poignantly contemplates gender and sexual identity in modern London. The film follows the life of a struggling stand-up comedian as he juggles his personal and professional passions. You can check out the trailer here. Free. Places available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Community Workshop - 'Biphobia and Erasure'

This workshop will be a space for bisexual, pansexual and other non-monosexual people to share their experiences of biphobia and erasure, to draw attention to the struggles of those people in society and to hopefully discuss some strategies for dealing with those problems. This workshop will be led by the facilitator and organisor for TransLeeds and volunteer for Leeds Bi Group: Sophia. Sophia works closely with her communities and government bodies to improve conditions and fight discrimination in West Yorkshire. Free. You can reserve your place for this workshop here.

Games and social afternoon

Biphoria will be running this interactive space for the bisexual community and their friends and family. Please note that under 14s must be accompanied by someone aged 18 or older.
